Leather Processing
LEATHER SPLITTING
We split leather to any thickness enabling the greatest consistency across each production run.
- Accurate leather splitting from 0.5mm
- Up to 700mm. panel width
LASER CUTTING AND ENGRAVING
Our UK made flatbed high speed laser is the best in its class, enabling us to laser engrave or cut leather with complete accuracy and great speed. We are also able to cut or engrave a variety of materials directly from the roll.

EMBOSSING AND DEBOSSING
At Leedum we use a traditional hand operated machine to emboss or deboss your design onto leather. This ensures quality craftsmanship and attention to detail goes into every hand-pressed piece.

- Platen size 300 x 200mm
NOTCHING
Perforations and cut outs can be provided to assist in the flexibility of the product. Alternatively, bespoke dies can be used to create sewing markers on the flange to assist in later construction.
LEATHER SKIVING
If it’s simply the edge of the leather that you’re looking to thin, we are able to accurately skive and join the edges of leather parts, piping and binding.

CNC CUTTING
Using a fully automated CNC machine to process your cutting pattern, we optimise the use of material every time to get the best yield from each unique hide.

MATERIAL SLITTING
Our machines can slit most materials on the roll to very accurate widths. We can supply quality material to your specification or slit material supplied by you. We can wind and slit most materials on the roll with the capability of handling rolls of up to 1.6m long with a depth of 30cm.

PRECISION CNC MILLING
Leedum can produce and engrave embossing dies in house to a very high tolerance with our state of the art precision CNC milling machine. We can produce both plate and cylindrical dies to meet your requirements.

With six extruders in the factory and a wealth of expertise, we can provide anything from the fundamentals through to bespoke extrusions that push traditional manufacturing boundaries towards the future.
COMPONENTS
Plastic Extrusion
We manufacture extruded piping in a variety of flexible and rigid plastics. With a die profile made to suit your requirements and a huge range of plastic compounds to choose from, plastic extrusion offers a huge number of creative possibilities.
EXTRUDED CORES
Piping cores can either be supplied from stock or made especially. At Leedum we extrude all of our own piping cores; both solid and hollow, in a range of plastics to give a varying degrees of softness and flexibility.
- Produced in Soft Parvic, HDPE, LDPE, PVC with a solid or hollow profile
- Diameter from 1.5 to 5mm
J CLIPS AND RETENTION CLIPS
Our polypropylene extrusions are the trustworthy tool used to ensure seat covers stay in place on their metal frames. These are available in a wide variety of profiles and lengths.

- Produced in PVC, HDPE, ABS, Polypropylene
PLASTIC EXTRUSIONS
We can produce extruded PVC piping in most plastic materials to meet your unique profiles. These come in a huge range of colours with a width of up to 50mm
