Our heritage
Our long-standing relationship with the automotive industry has given us a deep understanding and pride in our work. This drives our passion to get the best out of every project.
In the early 1950’s, Jack White (Mr White Sr.) had a filling station near the centre of Leeds with a workshop attached. Here he made car carpets and car seat covers for local garages and private customers. The business grew rapidly and moved around various sites in Leeds becoming well known as a respected automotive supplier.
Leedum progressed from coach trimming to the production of pipings and seat components in the early 1970’s, supplying most of the UK’s leading motor manufacturers. The business moved to an old shoe factory in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Eyam in 1978/79, where they are to this day.
Now servicing the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, Volvo, Bentley and the Lear Corporation, our team have been led by Jonathan White, Jack’s son, into the 21st century.
